Science Clip Art Set

I love using Blogger because it shows me search terms that lead to my blog.  I was looking at my blog stats last night and noticed that there were quite a few people who searched for "Science Clip Art" and were directed here because I had this image in my Alphabet Kids Clip Art post.

That was the only science clip art that I had in my whole blog, so I decided to fill the void and create some science-related images for my TpT store.

The set includes 45 images (28 full colour and 17 black line) that are in .png format to make them easy to resize and layer into projects.  Click on any of the images below to download!

Introducing Two New Teacher-Authors...

After raving about the benefits of selling on Teachers Pay Teachers at school, two of my teacher friends decided to set up their own stores.  We had a TpT work day back in April where I showed them some tips on how to set up their online stores and paypal accounts, and they've been busy creating resources since then.

I'd now like to introduce you to Hearts in Hand and Big Hearts, Little Learners!

Mt friend, Karen, has opened up Hearts in Hand.  She has several primary writing products and differentiated journal prompts.  Her products are great for multi-level or multi-grade classes, and the pages have adorable clip art.

Here are some of her products:

My friend, Tammy, opened Big Hearts, Little Learners.

Thanks for showing them some love :)

Summer Fun Clip Art

Summer is here, and it's been hot in Victoria!  To beat the heat wave, I hid out inside for a few days and created this summer fun clip art set.

The set includes 43 images (29 colour and 14 black line) that you can use for personal or commercial products.  Click on the picture below to download the set.

How have you been spending your summer?  Let me know in the comments below.

TpT Seller Challenge: Make Your Masterpiece

I am participating in the TpT Seller Challenge and this week's focus was "Make Your Masterpiece."  Essentially, the challenge was to create something new, swap with a fellow TpTer to edit, then post it to your store.

For my masterpiece, I chose to make Intermediate Math Task Cards.

This product includes 72 printable task cards for Grades 3-5. Cards are perfect for review, math centres, or quick assessments.

I have divided the cards into 9 categories:
- Patterns

- Place Value
- Time
- Addition/Subtraction
- Data Analysis and Graphing
- Multiplication/Division
- Measurement
- Fractions
- Geometry

Each category has 8 task cards, for a total of 72 altogether.

Here are some examples of what the cards look like:

The world has a sepia filter on it today

I live in Victoria, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island in BC.  We have had hot, dry weather for weeks, which has caused many wild fires to blaze around the province.  Here is a map with active fires in BC.

With so many fires blazing for so long, the smoke has gathered in the atmosphere and has settled over Vancouver Island.  Residents of the southern island woke up this morning to an orange haze filling the sky.  It was so bad that NASA took this picture from space showing the smoke.

Here are some photos that I took today as the smoke got heavier and heavier.
This is the sky when I first woke up

The sun had a ring around it.

There were crows circling around the park, which gave off a scary movie feel to the day.
The smoke became so thick that the sun could barely shine.
My sister and I took my nephew to the park and it was really creepy with the orange haze.

I'm wondering if anyone in Washington State, Alaska, or in other parts of BC had any similar orange skies today?  If so, let me know in the comments below.
